Soraya – Shopify theme for one-product brands
Thank you for choosing Soraya. This guide explains how to install the theme and how to set up every part of your store without touching code.
1. Getting started
Install the theme
- Download the theme package from ThemeForest and unzip it. Inside you will find
soraya-theme.zip(the theme) and this documentation. - In Shopify, go to Online Store › Themes.
- In the Theme library, click Add theme › Upload zip file and choose
soraya-theme.zip. Do not upload the full ThemeForest download, only the theme zip. - When it finishes, click Customize to start editing. When you are happy, click Publish.
Recommended first steps
- Choose a theme style (Default, Noir or Fresh).
- Upload your logo in the Header section and your favicon in Theme settings › Logo and favicon.
- Set your colors and fonts in Theme settings.
- On the homepage, choose your product in the Featured product section.
- Open your product page and replace the demo texts in the sales sections.
- Install a reviews app (see Reviews).
2. Theme styles
Soraya includes three ready-made styles. Each one changes colors, fonts and corner shapes; your content is not touched.
| Style | Look | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Default | White and blue, modern sans-serif fonts, soft corners | Tech, home, health, gadgets |
| Noir | Black and gold, elegant serif headings, square corners | Beauty, jewelry, premium products |
| Fresh | Cream, coral and green, rounded buttons | Food, pets, kids, wellness |
To change it: Customize › Theme settings (gear icon) › Theme style, choose a style and click Change style. After that you can adjust anything you like.
3. Theme settings
Open Customize › Theme settings (gear icon).
| Group | What you can change |
|---|---|
| Logo and favicon | The small icon shown in the browser tab (square, at least 32 × 32 px). The logo itself is set in the Header section. |
| Colors | Four color schemes (background, text, main button, button text, outline button and links, borders, cards). Every section has a Color scheme setting, so you can alternate light and dark areas. You can also add new schemes. |
| Typography | Heading font and body font from the Shopify font library, and their size. |
| Layout | Maximum page width. |
| Buttons and corners | Corner radius of buttons, and of cards and images. |
| Cart | Cart type, what happens after adding to cart, free shipping bar, order notes, express checkout buttons. See Cart. |
| Social media | Links to your profiles. Empty links are hidden. |
4. Images that always look good
Soraya gives you control over every image without code:
- Focal point: in Shopify, open the image (Content › Files, or the product media) and set the focal point on the important part. Soraya always keeps that point visible, on computer and on mobile.
- Image shape: Original, Square, Portrait or Landscape.
- Image fit: Show the whole image (nothing is cut) or Fill the space (the image covers the area, cropped around the focal point).
- Mobile image: banners and image-with-text sections accept a different image for phones, for example a vertical photo.
Recommended sizes: banners 2400 × 1200 px or larger; product photos 2000 × 2000 px; other images at least 1200 px wide. Shopify serves smaller versions automatically to phones.
5. Homepage
The homepage is designed to sell one product. By default it contains:
- Image banner: a large photo with heading, text and up to two buttons.
- Height on computer and on mobile (Small, Medium, Large, Full screen).
- Darken the image makes white text easier to read.
- Text position (left, center, right; top, middle, bottom) and an optional box behind the text.
- Text on mobile: Below the image (recommended, the photo stays clean) or Over the image.
- Featured product: your product with photos, price, packs and buy buttons, exactly like the product page. Choose the product in the section settings; if empty, the first product of your store is shown.
- Sales sections: image with text, how it works, guarantee, FAQ and reviews.
#buy.6. Product page
The Product information section is built with blocks that you can add, remove and reorder:
| Block | Notes |
|---|---|
| Title, Text, Price | The price shows a crossed-out price and a savings badge only if you set a real Compare-at price in Shopify. |
| Star rating | Shows the rating saved by your reviews app. Hidden when there are no reviews. |
| Benefits list | One benefit per line, with a check icon. |
| Variant picker | Buttons, color swatches and pack cards. See Packs. |
| Buy buttons | Add to cart, optional quantity selector and express checkout buttons (Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay…), always the same width as the main button. |
| Trust icons | Up to three icons with short text (shipping, returns, secure payment…). |
| Collapsible tab, Description | Accordions for shipping, returns, ingredients, size guide… |
| Build your pack + Pack | Mixed bundles. See Build your pack. |
| Custom Liquid, Apps | For app blocks and advanced users. |
Section settings: image column width, image shape and fit, and the sticky add-to-cart bar (mobile only, mobile and computer, or off).
7. Packs of the same product (1, 2, 3 units…)
To sell packs of the same product, create them as variants in Shopify:
- In your product, add an option called
Pack(or Bundle, Quantity, Cantidad). - Give each value a number, for example
1 unit,2 units,3 units, and set the price of each pack.
Soraya shows them as large cards with the unit price and the real savings compared with buying single units. In the Variant picker block you can:
- Change which option names are treated as packs (Options shown as packs).
- Turn off Show pack options as large cards to show normal buttons.
- Show the variant image inside each card.
8. Build your pack (mixed bundles)
Let customers build a pack with different products (for example 2 pairs of socks + 2 briefs) and choose the size or color of each item.
Set it up
- Soraya includes a product template called bundle. Open the product where you want the packs and, in Theme template, choose
bundle. Save. - In Customize, open that product. In Product information you will see the Build your pack block and several Pack blocks.
- In each Pack block set:
- Pack name and optional Label (for example "Most popular").
- Savings text (for example "Save 15%").
- Discount shown in the price (percentage). It must be the same as your automatic discount (next chapter).
- Up to 3 products and the quantity of each one. Leave Product 1 empty to use the product of the page.
- In the Build your pack block, choose whether to offer Same size for all and whether the add button stays visible on mobile.
What customers see
- Pack cards with the final price and the regular price crossed out.
- One row per product. Tapping it opens a panel from the bottom of the screen to choose size and color. Sold-out options are crossed out and cannot be selected.
- A counter ("2 of 4 ready") and an Add pack button that is enabled only when everything is chosen.
- All items are added to the cart at once. Each product appears as its own line in the cart, so stock and shipping work normally.
9. Pack discounts (automatic discounts)
Example: 3 items = 10% off, 4 items = 15% off, 6 items = 20% off.
- Go to Discounts › Create discount › Amount off products.
- Method: Automatic discount. Title: for example
Pack 3 – 10%(customers see it in the cart). - Value: Percentage,
10. Applies to: Specific products, select the products that can be in your packs. - Minimum purchase requirements: Minimum quantity of items:
3. - Save. Repeat for 4 items (15%) and 6 items (20%).
When several automatic discounts apply, Shopify gives the customer the best one, so a 4-item pack gets 15%, not 10%.
10. Sales sections
These sections can be added to any page (product, homepage, about…) with Add section. All of them have color scheme and spacing settings for computer and mobile.
| Section | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Image with text | Problem / solution. Image left or right on computer, above or below on mobile; eyebrow, heading, text, checklist and buttons. |
| What's included | Everything in the box, with photos. 2–4 columns on computer, list or 2 columns on mobile. |
| How it works | Numbered steps with optional images. |
| Comparison | "Us vs. others" table with check marks, crosses or text. |
| Guarantee | Your guarantee with an icon or your own badge image. |
| FAQ | Questions and answers as accordions. |
| Reviews (app) | Holds the block of your reviews app. |
| Image banner, Featured product, Text, Contact form | General content. |
11. Reviews
Soraya never invents reviews. Use any reviews app that supports app blocks (Judge.me, Loox, Okendo, Shopify Product Reviews…):
- Install the app and import or collect your reviews.
- In Customize, open the Reviews (app) section and click Add block; choose the app's reviews widget.
- For the stars under the title, add the Star rating block. It reads the standard Shopify rating fields that most apps fill in.
Without an app block, the Reviews section is hidden in your store (you only see a reminder inside the editor).
12. Cart
In Theme settings › Cart:
- Cart type: side drawer or cart page.
- After adding to cart: open the cart drawer, go to the cart page, or go straight to checkout.
- Free shipping from: an amount in your main currency shows a progress bar. Use the same amount as in your Shopify shipping settings; set 0 to hide it.
- Order notes, express checkout buttons and the drawer's color scheme.
13. Collections, filters and search
- Filters come from Shopify's free Search & Discovery app: choose there which filters to show (availability, price, size, color…).
- In the Collection section: products per page, columns on computer, list or 2 columns on mobile, image shape and fit, show or hide filters and sorting.
- Search shows products, articles and pages.
14. Other pages
- Contact: create a page in Online Store › Pages and choose the template
contact. - Blog and articles: grid of articles with image, date and excerpt; articles with tags and comments (if enabled in the blog).
- Password page: logo, heading, email signup and password entry, for stores that are not open yet.
- 404, gift card and customer account pages are included and need no setup.
15. Header, menus and footer
Menus
Create your menus in Online Store › Navigation. A menu item can link to anything: a product, collection, page, policy, blog, an external website, or a page created by an app (for example an order tracking page such as /apps/track or /pages/track-order). Soraya shows every link exactly as you add it.
Header
- Add your logo and choose the main menu in the Header section.
- On mobile the menu opens from a button; the account link is inside the menu to keep the header clean.
- The header can stay fixed at the top while scrolling.
- The Announcement bar above the header shows short messages (shipping, returns…).
Footer
The footer has up to 6 columns. Add them as blocks:
- Menu: choose any menu from Navigation, for example "Help" with Contact, Track your order, Shipping and Returns.
- Text: a short text about your brand.
- Newsletter: email signup (subscribers appear in Shopify Customers).
At the bottom you can show or hide: policy links, payment icons, social icons (set the links in Theme settings › Social media) and the language and country selectors.
16. Languages
All storefront texts and editor labels are included in English and Spanish. To edit any text or translate to another language: Online Store › Themes › ⋯ › Edit default theme content, or use Shopify's Translate & Adapt app.
17. FAQ and troubleshooting
The packs appear as normal buttons
Check that the option name is listed in Options shown as packs and that Show pack options as large cards is on.
The pack price and the cart total are different
The automatic discount is missing or has different numbers. See Pack discounts.
The sticky add-to-cart bar is hidden in the preview
The black Shopify preview bar covers the bottom of the screen. In your live store the bar is not there.
My photo is cut
Set the focal point of the image, or change Image fit to Show the whole image.
A link does not appear in my footer
Check that the footer Menu block uses the menu where you added the link, and that the menu item has a URL. App pages (tracking, wishlist…) work like any other link.
The reviews section does not appear
It is hidden until you add your reviews app block to it.
